China Adventure 2026 is a once-in-a-lifetime journey that blends world-class Tai Chi competition, deep cultural heritage, and unforgettable travel across China’s most iconic landscapes.

Centered around the 3rd Yang Family Tai Chi International Elite
Tournament at sacred Emei Mountain, this experience brings together practitioners from around the world to compete, connect, and celebrate the living tradition of Yang Family Tai Chi.For tournament participants, the adventure begins in Chengdu and continues to Emei Mountain, where participants prepare through group rehearsals before the tournament’s opening ceremonies.

Over several inspiring days, athletes take part in individual and group events, culminating in award ceremonies, master demonstrations, and international group performances.  

For folks not participating in the tournament, their adventure begins in Chengdu, where you’ll explore the Sichuan Food Museum.

Where you will learn to cook iconic dishes, sip local teas, and stroll historic streets while soaking in the city’s vibrant flavors.

Journey to Emei Mountain with a memorable stop at the Leshan Giant Buddha.

A defining highlight is the Centennial Birthday Commemoration of Grand Master Yang Zhenduo.

Featuring scholarly presentations, personal remembrances, and a vibrant disciples’ celebration that honors lineage, excellence, and shared purpose.

Beyond the tournament, participants embark on a remarkable cultural journey.

Experience the serenity of Emei Mountain, meet the beloved giant pandas of Chengdu, stroll historic Kuanzhai Alley, and enjoy the energy of Taikoo Li.

Travel onward to Yangshuo for bamboo rafting among dramatic karst peaks and an unforgettable evening at the open-air spectacle Impression Liu Sanjie.

Explore Guilin’s night river cruises before flying to the sacred Wudang Mountains. In the Wudang Mountains, the sacred heart of Taoist internal arts, explore legendary temples, experience the Jade Void Palace, and witness the stunning performance A Dream of Wudang.

The journey concludes in Shanghai, offering cultural exchange with local Tai Chi communities and time to explore one of the world’s great cities.

CHINA ADVENTURE 2026 ITINERARIES

The 2026 YFTC China Adventure has three distinct tours.

Tour Package A: A 14-day adventure for those not participating in or attending the tournament. It includes an extended tour of Chengdu and Emei Mountain plus Yangshuo, Guilin, Wudang Mountain and Shanghai.


Tour Package B: A 14-day adventure for those attending or participating in the International Tournament of Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan. It includes a tour of Emei Mountain, Chengdu, Yangshuo, Guilin, Wudang Mountain and Shanghai.


Tour Package C: An 8-day adventure for those attending or participating in the tournament and includes a tour of Emei Mountain and Chengdu.

Day 4 October 18 Morning: Visit to the Wuhou Shrine (Temple of Marquis Wu), a shrine dedicate to Zhuge Liang and others from the Shu Han kingdom during China’s Three Kingdoms period.

Morning: Bamboo rafting in Yangshuo offers scenic floats on the Li or Yulong Rivers, showcasing stunning karst landscapes, with Yulong River
