Tai Chi has been a part of my life since 2010. In the beginning, I studied many different styles of Tai Chi Chuan, including Chen Style and Shaolin. I enjoyed Tai Chi so much and looked for as many chances to learn new forms as possible.
In 2014, I learned Traditional Yang Style Taichi Chuan 103 Form, then attended Master Yang Jun’s workshops from 2015 – 2020 several times a year. Since then, my main focus in Tai Chi has been the Yang Family style.
After devoting much time to the Yang Family style, I earned the Gold Eagle rank in June I have also served as Treasurer of the Yang Family Tai Chi Affiliated School of San Jose since 2017. In September of 2018, I began my own journey as an instructor of Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan.
Due to COVID-19, there were no in-person classes after March 2020 in USA. During this time, I took three online classes held in China taught by Master Yang Jun. I found these classes worth spending numerous hours to review and practiced every day, both in improving my own skills and observing Master Yang’s teaching style.
In March 2021, I resumed teaching in person in my community. I teach in both Chinese and English. Through my students, I am also constantly learning.
Learning and teaching Tai Chi Chuan is a long journey and one that gives me purpose and passion. I will continue to go along this journey with Master Yang Jun, the Yang family masters, my fellow instructors, friends, and my students.
