I was born in 1972 in a small city near Hamburg/Germany where I’m still living. Since my youth I had played Handball for many years until I was seriously injured. Supporting the healing of this injury led me to Tai Chi and help me a lot with regeneration.
I started practicing Tai Chi in fall 2011 at a community college. Things changed in spring 2015 when I met Johannes Mergner who opened the door to the world of Yang Family Tai Chi. In the same year Angela Plarre from Hamburg became my local teacher where I still get my weekly corrections.
Since then I started to intensify my training and learning more about Chinese philosophy. I started with ranking and visited seminars held by Johannes and of course GM Yang Jun regularly.
In 2017 I started teaching for colleagues from the university where I work as a computer scientist. I enrolled the Teacher Academy in summer 2018 at the Yang Family Tai Chi Center Berlin and became an Associate Instructor in 2020. I look forward to sharing this valuable treasure of Tai Chi with others and sharing the things I’ve learned so far. The sustainable benefits for my personal health, the mental calm and strength that I have learned are my motivation to continue practicing Tai Chi.
Most important in my life are my wife, my two sons and our dog.
