Cheryl is also affiliated with the Seattle Yang Chengfu Center, where she continues to teach and train through online classes. Cheryl’s teaching is rooted in tradition and shaped by real-life experience.
Through her own injuries and recovery, she has developed a deep understanding of alignment, adaptability, and how to help students move safely and effectively at any stage of life. Her classes emphasize structure, balance, and internal awareness, helping students build strength, reduce pain, and gain confidence in their movement. Whether working with complete beginners or experienced practitioners, Cheryl makes traditional Tai Chi both accessible and meaningful, without losing its depth as a martial art. She is committed to preserving and sharing Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan in a way that honors its original principles while meeting students where they are.
Cheryl is also a Yoga Alliance-certified instructor. Her yoga teaching focuses on alignment and mindful movement to help students release tension, build strength, and improve mobility. She is certified in Yin, Vinyasa, and Rocket/Ashtanga Yoga. She also offers Qigong classes as a complementary practice, focusing on breath, gentle movement, and energy awareness to support relaxation, mobility, and overall well-being.
