Ernestina began studying Chinese martial arts in 2005, dedicating over 15 years to mastering various forms under master Yang Jun, including traditional hand forms, the 16 form, Essential form, Senior form, Sword, and Saber. Attending seminars and workshops both in Mexico and abroad, she participated in significant events such as the International Symposium in Louisville (2014) and Italy (2019), as well as various TTM workshops in Connecticut.
In addition to Yang family studies, Ernestina has explored workshops with notable instructors like master Peng You Lian, sifu Shi Yan Ming, and sifu Mei Mei, focusing on Tai Chi, Qigong for health, Shaolin Kung Fu, Wudang sword, five animals Qigong, and a taste of Chen style. As an instructor,she shares this knowledge through private classes for elderly individuals and beginner group sessions, emphasizing health, enjoyment, and community through basic exercises and breathing techniques.
Beyond martial arts, Ernestina holds a degree in Public Accounting and manages a family business specializing in blinds, curtains, and interior decoration, overseeing general administration. Dance has also played a significant role in her life, with training in different techniques. From 2020 to 2023, she was part of a Butoh dance company in Guadalajara, México, further enriching her artistic journey.
With a passion for spreading the teachings received from master Yang Jun and other mentors, Ernestina looks forward to continuing to share the art of Tai chi, fostering health and connection within the community.
