Division of Education and Training: Carl Meeks, Division Head

The Division of Education and Training was established to provide policies and management in areas of membership training, Instructor and Judges training, ranking and certifications.

Tai Chi Chuan Teacher Academy Department: Carl Meeks, Department Head

Design course framework and curriculum
Develop and implement Course and Instructor Evaluation Forms
Develop Instructor Exams for each training level
Calculate and record Training Credits

Instructors Advisory Board: Chairperson Carl Meeks

Set and review policies, regulations, and standards for Association Instructors
Develop policies for Instructor training standards
Provide direction and advice for implementation of the Tai Chi Chuan Teacher Academy
Review and approve development and implementation of Instructor training documents, including assessment of Instructors
Advise the Instructor Training Department and to review and approve its work
Adjudicate matters pertaining to the Training Standards Department

Training Standards Department: Carl Meeks, Department Head

Manage the development and operations of the Instructor Training Department.
Develop and implement the Instructor Training Department guidelines, procedures, protocols, and materials, and duties
Design and implement training standards
Create and implement a method assessment for Centers and Instructors
Design the Instructor’s Registry to document training experience
Maintain the Instructor’s Registry in coordination with the Division of Education and Training
Develop instructor evaluation forms and Seminar / Event evaluation forms
Coordinate with the Division of Education and Training to set standards for instructor assessment
Develop materials and forms for training processes
Receive and process results of ranking, instructor and judge training, and issue certificates in coordination with Membership Department

IYFTCCA’s National Headquarters Directors

The Association created the National Headquarters for coordinating and administrating the Instructors and Directors of that nation. The National Headquarters is responsible for organizing and managing National Training Events for the Tai Chi Chuan Teacher Academy.

Directors and Instructors Practice Session Coordinators

These Coordinators will schedule sessions to practice and review the material, information, and skills taught at the special seminars that is taught by Master Yang Jun for Directors and Instructors. The sessions will focus on improving skills.

Directors and Instructors Practice Session Coordinators will provide annual reports containing the content of the practice sessions and the names of the participants for the purpose of maintaining the Instructor’s Registry in coordination with the Division of Education and Training.

Judges and Ranking Advisory Board: Pat Rice Chairperson

Set and review policies, regulations, and standards for the Ranking System and for Judges
Review the Ranking System’s structure, methods of testing and scoring, and procedures, and to devise changes as appropriate
Select material for the written and technical content of ranking tests in coordination with the Instructor Training Department
Organize adjudication for the assignment of the advanced levels of ranking
Advise the Judges and Ranking Department and to review and approve its work
Adjudicate matters pertaining to Judges and Ranking

Manage the development and operations of the Ranking System
Develop and implement the Ranking System’s guidelines, procedures, protocols, and materials
Develop descriptions for Judges’ responsibilities and duties
Design and implement a training program for Judges
Create and implement a method of evaluating the work of the Judges
Design the Judge’s Passbook to document Judges’ work experience
Maintain the Judges Registry in coordination with the Division of Education and Training
Supervise the operations of Ranking Events
Set standards for ranking tests in coordination with the Division of Education and Training
Develop materials and forms for ranking processes
Create Continental-Ranking Committees
